What drew you to the Caleb Scholars Program?
Although I am not pursuing a degree related to environment and sustainability studies, one of my greatest passions is Indigenous environmental justice. The Caleb Scholars Program offers me the resources and space to advance Inuit-led conservancy and environmental justice for Indigenous peoples.
What does Inuit-led conservation advocacy mean to you?
Inuit-led conservation involves protecting our land and people as we always have. It means continuing this work for our people and land, centering care for the land, our cultural practices, and people while keeping future generations in mind.

land.
Growing up, I loved living in a coastal village. I would often sneak to the beach with my cousins, where we would dip our feet into water, even if we weren’t supposed to. Spending time on the beach, seeing the bright blue water and breathing in the cool ocean breeze, is when I feel most connected to our oceans.
