Alazae Waghiyi, Caleb Scholar

Alazae Waghiyi

The Inuit-led conservation advocacy means promoting to protect our lands, culture, and mammals. My major is Social Work, and I know I will be able to guide and help make decisions that affect our way of life and people. After I graduate with my bachelors degree, I plan to work for one of my regional corporations in Anchorage for the Norton Sound Region. I won’t stop my education while I work for my community; I will work towards my masters degree in Social Work. I have chosen this life course to provide a good role model for my community, hoping they will be motivated to succeed the way I have. I have had challenges to help me to determine the future that I want to see and I know I can make it happen by continuing to work hard and showing my resiliency
